Everyday things are full of possibilities.
A confusing sign. A clever object. A small everyday frustration. These can all become starting points for curiosity and invention. Family Design Lab creates opportunities for children and adults to explore, exchange ideas, experiment and discover new ways of looking at the world. Together.
There is no single right answer and no prior design experience needed. The point is to try things out, learn from each other and enjoy the process.
The Lab
Four playful experiences. Plenty of room to explore, experiment and make.
Each session centres on a hands-on challenge. Families might investigate an everyday object, play with a surprising “what if?”, invent something of their own or build and test a rough prototype. The activities are being developed through experimentation, with making and collaboration at the heart of every session.
